ACFID has been engaging with DFAT colleagues on the Australian Infrastructure Financing Facility for the Pacific (AIFFP) to host a consultation with our members on its updated design. DFAT have shared the following description:
The AIFFP will be presenting to the members of the Australian Council for International Development (ACFID) and other invited attendees to provide an overview of the AIFFP and an update on its current activities. The AIFFP team will also provide an update on it’s Pacific Climate Infrastructure Financing Partnership (PCIFP).High-quality, sustainable infrastructure is an investment in a more connected and economically vibrant future. Australia is backing Pacific priorities and will invest an additional $550 million in official developmental assistance (ODA) grants through the Australian Infrastructure Financing Facility for the Pacific (AIFFP), including for digital infrastructure development. The new commitment brings the AIFFP’s total facility financing to $4.55 billion, comprising a $3 billion loan cap and $1.55 billion in ODA grants.
Please join for the presentation and a Q&A on 13 March. An additional one-page document will be provided to attendees prior to the meeting.
