Event Details

ACFID invites staff from all member organisations to register for our free, four‑session training program: Safe, Responsiblle and Effective AI Usage.

Developed by Plan International Australia in partnership with AVPN and The University of Melbourne’s Centre for AI and Digital Ethics (CAIDE), the program includes four modules:

  • What is AI?
  • Risks and Realities of AI
  • Using Platforms and Prompts
  • Agents and Retrieval‑Augmented Generation (RAGs)

This course is suitable for complete beginners as well as those already experimenting with AI who want to strengthen their skills. Content focuses on practical and ethical use of AI in the Development and Humanitarian sectors.

Once you complete this registration, you'll be placed in a facilitated group of 15-30 learners and contacted about the training schedule. For each module, you will:

  • Complete an independent resource pack (readings, short videos, curated links).
  • Attend a 90‑minute group session with activities, discussion and hands‑on practice.

The four modules are delivered over 6–8 weeks.

Please register via this form: https://forms.monday.com/forms/6f1424b39fa4f5317d918757f4aa234e?r=use1
