DFAT Briefing on the 4th International Conference on Financing for Development (FfD4)

Event Details

The briefing will cover the process of producing the Outcome Document, engagement the Australian Government has had so far with the process, and their approach going forward, and will be followed by a Q&A. Members with an interest in international financial architecture and debt reform will be particularly interested in attending.

Presenter Details

Dr Anthony Swan, Director of the Development Economics Section of DFAT

Dr Swan leads on development financing, sovereign debt and development economics policy issues. He was lead author of DFAT’s Development Finance Review.

Dr Swan is an economist who loves working on development issues using data driven evidence. Anthony has over 20 years’ experience in development, with previous roles with Gavi, the Vaccine Alliance in Geneva, the Development Policy Centre and lecturer of economics at the Australian National University, the National Research Institute in Papua New Guinea, and the Vietnam Agricultural Science Institute in Vietnam.

He has a Doctorate in Economics from the Australian National University.
