ACFID Connect - COP29: Commiserations or Celebrations?

Event Details

The Advocacy stream of ACFID’s Climate Policy and Practice Community warmly invite you to attend a panel discussion with the ACFID members who were on-the-ground at COP29 in Baku, Azerbaijan this year.

This year’s global climate negotiations, dominated by debates between nations over climate finance, saw tensions deepen between developed and developing nations with disagreements that threatened to derail talks.

Please join our panelists who will give their perspectives on the issues at stake in Baku this year, the negotiation process and results, the role of Civil Society Organisations at COP and the next steps for policy and advocacy following this year's contested and underwhelming agreement and the incoming Trump presidency.

Please note, to register for the event you must be logged into your MYACFID accounts.
